PG&E and Solar

Understanding how (and why) PG&E Quietly Subsidizes Solar

Addendum: PG&E’s Climate Zones — North Bay Allocations

The majority of the North Bay is zone X.

If you are zone X, and showing in PG&E records as all-electric, your bill will show an “H” right after the “X” on your bill’s Rate Schedule line:

All-Electric (XH) Summer Base = 9.3 Kwh/day. Winter = 16.7 kwh/day.

If you are area X, and showing in PG&E records as electric+gas, your bill will show a “B” right after the “X” on your Rate Schedule line

Electric (w gas heat) (XB) Summer Base = 10.1 Kwh/day. Winter = 10.9 kwh/day.

The coast for most of PG&E’s territory is zone T.

If you are zone T, and showing in PG&E records as all-electric, your bill will show an “H” right after the “X” on your bill’s Rate Schedule line.

All-Electric (TH) Summer Base = 8.3 Kwh/day. Winter = 14.9 Kwh /day.

If you are area T, and showing in PG&E records as electric+gas, your bill will show a “B” right after the “X” on your Rate Schedule line

Electric (w gas heating) (TB) Summer Base = 7.0 Kwh/day. Winter = 8.5 Kwh/day.
